The Renaissance Society supports the Endowment Fund of the Mead Public Library Foundation. Renaissance denotes rebirth, and a period of history during which people rediscovered and extended the knowledge created and recorded by their predecessors. It was during this period that they developed an appreciation for the wisdom and experience of other cultures.
Membership in the Renaissance Society helps to ensure that Mead Public Library remains an integral part of life in Sheboygan. Through Renaissance Society membership, you directly impact the ongoing renewal of financial resources necessary to assure that Mead Public Library preserves and extends our community’s intellectual and creative heritage for generations to come.

The Library Foundation strengthens the community by supporting Mead Public Library through philanthropy, advocacy and collaboration.
The Foundation Board of Directors has established the following donor recognition categories for gifts to the Endowment Fund contributed via Renaissance Society members.
Your membership starts with your gift or pledge as follows:
Society - $500 - $999
Shakespeare - $1,000 - $2,499
Gutenberg - $2,500 - $4,999
Da Vinci - $5,000 - $9,999
Michelangelo - $10,000 - $24,999
Patron - $25,000 and beyond
Renaissance Society Members will be recognized as they achieve the named categories above on the Renaissance Society Donor Wall on the first floor of the Library and on the Renaissance Society membership roster.
Each cumulative gift category features both a Renaissance personage whose achievements have echoed through the centuries and the patrons whose encouragement and support make such great things possible.
The Renaissance Society Foundation is a 509(a)(3) supporting organization. All contributions to it are deductible to the extent allowable by law (501(c)(3)).
